More than just barre…

A Fusion of Strength, Grace & Mindful Movement.

Hollie Morse’s barre classes offer a fresh, empowering way to move. Combining the precision of Pilates, the grace of ballet, and the burn of strength training, Barre is a low-impact workout designed to sculpt, tone, and energise. Guided by Hollie Morse, every class is welcoming, accessible, and built to make you feel strong and supported, no dance experience needed.

Whether you’re new to movement or a seasoned fitness lover, our Barre classes on the Gold Coast are a fun and functional way to build total-body strength and improve posture, balance, and flexibility.

What to Expect in a Barre Class

Each Barre class at our Robina studio is designed to be uplifting, low-impact, and deeply effective. Expect a series of small, precise movements using body weight, light resistance, and props like balls or bands. You’ll work through a sequence of standing and mat-based exercises that challenge your core, legs, arms, and glutes — all while improving posture and alignment.

Here’s what a typical class includes:
– A gentle warm-up to activate muscles
– Barre work for legs and glutes
– Mat work for core and upper body
– Stretching to release and rebalance
– Encouragement and expert guidance from Hollie every step of the way

What to wear to Barre:
– Comfy activewear similar to yoga and pilates classes.
– Bare feet or specialised grip socks to increase traction.

You’ll leave class feeling stronger, taller, and more connected to your body — with a sense of lightness that carries into your day.

A Brief History of Barre

Barre originated in the 1950s, created by German ballerina Lotte Berk, who developed the method as a way to combine rehabilitative exercises with ballet training. Over the decades, it’s evolved into a widely popular fitness class, blending elements of classical dance, Pilates, yoga, and strength conditioning.

What makes Barre unique is its focus on small, controlled movements that target and fatigue specific muscle groups. It’s a workout that’s gentle on the joints but delivers serious results, especially when it comes to toning, stability, and core strength.
